A Spiritual Awakening Isn’t…
A spiritual awakening isn’t a one time event. You won’t have an awakening and find all your problems miraculously solved because ‘you’ve seen the light.’
In my own experience a spiritual awakening is a profound experience where a whole pathway/way of seeing/understanding what you thought was real shatters.
Everything you thought about yourself, how you perceived things to be, the lense you were observing life through dissolves and a whole new way of being lands. It is not a quick or comfortable experience.
You will have many of these moments in your life. Not one and done, the work, the journey, the process never ends. It’s a rinse and repeat kinda thing. The difference is having the tools to support the process.
Unfortunately these awakenings normally arise through moments/events in life that bring you to your knees.
But we cannot truly know ‘love and light’ without liberating and loving ourselves through these shattering moments. And sometimes we don’t know how to and that’s ok too, we do the best we can. More often then not the healing comes many years later.
Seeing these events through a spiritual lens is to trust that the pain you experience is here to teach you more about yourself. To reveal to you your inner strength, to open you wider to more love, compassion, and gratitude when you’re ready.
To view it that way is your choice.
You have a choice to see spirit and sacredness at work in everything that unfolds.
It is your choice to see the spirit awakening in all things even when it’s ugly.
